Are there any experienced drivers that want to drive the rally Miata for the weekend of May 23-24? The car is pretty much ready to go. I'm going full bore on getting the ramp truck ready for this event, so I'll be heading out there in air conditioned comfort. The car is stupid fast and can get out of contol in inexperienced hands fast. For this reason I'm not going to let just anyone drive the car. All I ask for is a little help if you are interested. Fair is fair. It's going to cost fuel to get the car out there and the motel 6 is a whopping $40 for the night. Plus there might be a couple of hours of wrench time needed in the shop I'm about to get May 1st. Share part of this cost and you'll have two great days to help me thrash the car for its national Rallycross championship shakedown.

I think the event you're looking at is now just a single day.

As in Saturday only? If so, I could be interested.

Please tell me about the safety gear with which the car is outfitted. Please include how and where the belts are anchored.

Is this at Starke?

I might be willing to pay to drive, if not this time perhaps later.

My resume' - I've run ChumpCar and done a few dozen trackdays including Sebring, Road Atlanta, Roebling Road, Homestead, and Daytona. I have zero formal off road rally experience but lots of dirt road RWD foolishness in my past from living in south Georgia for a few years.

The next event that I'm driving is in Kissimmee. I make it out to the firm almost every month though. The car has a MiataCage in it minus the top door bar. It's a lot easier to get in and out of and it allows me to keep the windows for rallycross. The drivers seat harness is a Gforce pro camlock. It is looped around the harness bar. Not the weld on type. It is less than two years old. The seat in it right now is the aluminum seat from track dog racing. I forget if ultra sheild makes it or kirkey. I'm wanting to replace it with a Momo start to see if I fit in that any better.
