Did ya know there's an autocross going on July 5th at Brooksville? Sho 'nuff is!

This one is a FAST Classic, so "some experience required", no complete noob driver's at this one.

But, we HAVE opened it up as FAST Family Day, so you can bring the family out to watch. We don't normally do that at Brooksville, so hopefully some people will take advantage of it.

Full event details and registration here:
http://msreg.com/FAST-Classic-5Jul2015

Registration closes on June 29th!

A small event is a good opportunity to do stuff you can't do at a larger event. So, we're doing lots of big full-cross-course sweeper action on a single-car course this time. Also using minimal cones so we can get by with fewer work stations. Should be fun!

I see 4 different possible lines for that turn around. Short and slow or long and fast. Left or right side. It would take two tries of each one to get a good comparison. My guess is go right and keep it tight would be better, but different drivers and setups will yield different results on this one. It will be interesting to hear what worked out best for you guys.

I was sort of thinking the same. "Slow in, Fast out" would be to enter to the right, take it as tight as you need to, but wide enough to not bog 2nd. Straight shot out of it. But, everyone will have their own preference. It will be interesting.

As it worked out, we were wrong about the turn-around. Entering straight up the middle (ish), taking it clockwise and tight was the way.

Did anyone notice how HOT it was today?

Here's a vid of me in a Corvette:

Watching that video, I know where all of my mistakes were. Not enough set-up on the crossovers, and not trusting my instinct for the turnaround.
