Ben and I have to get back to work on the Festiva. Hopefully, will get it all back together and running. We've got the head back on, at the point where we're just finishing a timing belt job and reworking some suspension stuff... and maybe rolling some fenders, but I doubt that we'll get that far.

I've also got oil changes to do on three different vehicles. That won't take too long.

But, I can't start until 3pm this time. So, we're looking at probably at least 3-7pm.

This will be at my place in Safety Harbor, and I've got plenty of driveway space if anyone has any other projects they need to work on, or if you just want to come help/watch/heckle.

Who: Loren, Ben & whoever shows up to help or watch or work on other stuff
What: Wrenching on Mazdas
Where: Loren's Garage (PM me if you don't know where that is)
Why: Because we've got stuff to do!
When: July 11, 3pm-7pm

We're all about good eats, so we'll surely do dinner. What we do depends on how many people are coming. So, be sure to let us know if you're coming! I'll keep the lists below updated. At the very least, we need to know how much Cherry Coke to have on-hand!

Noobs, y'all are welcome and encouraged to come. No experience required. We've taught more than a few people which way to turn a wrench! We're happy to help you do minor (and sometimes major, but probably not today) maintenance and repair, or just give you a tour of your Miata.

People:
  1. Loren
  2. Ben
  3. Josh
  4. Philip

Jobs:
  1. Festiva TB/WP reassembly
  2. Festiva Suspension & Enging Mount tweaking
  3. Oil Changes on two Miatas and an S10
  4. Philip's fuel filter

Still on for tomorrow. Don't try to ping me and expect a response after about 3pm. I don't pay attention to my phone much out in the garage, and won't be checking the forum. What I'm saying is that if you want to come tomorrow and you don't know where to go, PM me ASAP!

I could come by to heckle if my wife will let me loose this afternoon. It's not looking very likely, though.

Well, we didn't make a great deal of progress on the Festiva today. I didn't expect that we would, but we got a few hours of quality time with it. Well, Ben did.

I got oil changes and "annual maintenance" done on 3 vehicles.

Oh, and I bolted on that set of 15x7 wheels with Toyo race tires onto my Miata. Holy crap!

It was a good lazy day. Johnnie's Miata is my favorite Miata so far!
I also helped change some tires.

Changing gearbox oil turned out to be a longer process than I anticipated, and with the rain, I figured you guys had buttoned up by the time I finished. I had to remove a couple of pieces of underbracing, and buy some additional sockets to get the fill and drain plugs out. And 5th gear still crunches....

Considering that we were really only working for about 3.4-4 hours and had no rigid goals or expectations, it was productive enough.

Moral support is highly under-rated Johnnie. Take the credit when you can.
