Seems time for a father and son bonding experience doing a clutch on my 91 in the hot garage ..

I'm worried about having fitment issues after the trans. is backed in and also premature failures and leaks.

So who has had good luck and what brand clutch seal, throw/pilot bearing and rear seal did you use ??

I'm tempted to get everything from a local store - NAPPA, ADVENCED, AUTOZONE so I can inspect and if issues come up - return rather than mail stuff back.

Thank you in advance for your suggestions. :D

If I ever need one I'll just slap in a $100 eBay Exedy kit and move on. Along with some decent seals of course. You may also want to get your flywheel resurfaced or replaced depending on how it looks.

Mostly I just rely on dumb luck...seems to come easy to me.

Thank you. Exedy is starting to look like the winner unless somebody hands me a free clutch of another brand LOL

Actually, it was what Loren recommended so his opinion carries weight. :)

I just had an Exedy kit and Mazda OEM seals put in my transmission. Very happy with it.

That seems like a very wise approach. My seals were purchased locally - either Advanced or autozone and leak.
